Note: Shutterfly has changed its services. They still will make my pictures available on the web but will not have a unique URL address. To anyone viewing my pictures, however, this won't make much of a difference.
The links on this page will still work. When you reach the album, you'll have the choice of seeing them in thumbnail size, full size (by double-clicking them, then using the arrow key to advance through the album) or select "Slideshow" and the pictures will cycle through with no effort - or control - on your part.
Note also: I am in the process of making the changes and it is something of a race against time. Many albums have been updated, others will soon be, therefore, if you get a "Page Not Found" error that's the reason. I apologize and I'll have them all fixed, shortly.
As part of this change, I've discovered the "Sharing" works fine on desk/lap top computers but doesn't work on iPhones. I'm in the process of working with Shutterfly to cope with this problem.

Shortly after I retired in 2003 I started volunteering at Non-Profit Technology Resources (NTR). This was a great experience for me as for the first time I got a chance to get my hands dirty - really just VERY dusty!
After a while I discovered that NTR was not only training people to fix computers & selling them but they were GIVING them away to school students. A little light went off, "Ah HA! Edison!" I got in touch my my colleague who taught the Bilingual program & we got the ball rolling so that we eventually got over 200 Edison/Fareira students their own computer.
Nilza's husband had a connection with Channel 6 in Philly & eventually, they came to visit on a day a group of Edison/Fareira students came to learn about their computers before they took them home.
I recently got copies of the original TV presentation and here are two versions of it - originally on video tape.
One is a M4V file (59 megs), the other a MOV file (231 megs) NOTE: The MOV version starts off with some "static" but don't worry - it's NOT your computer.

November 9, 2022, after a 3 year hiatus because of Covid-19, we restarted our
Edison/Fariera High School Retirees Luncheon.

School in recognition to the 64 former Edison students that died in the Vietnam
War.
