NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
The Edison High School-Fareira Skills Center located
at Front and Luzerne Street in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia,
19140, once again participated in this year's Thanksgiving, Christmas and
Valentine's holiday dinner food basket program. Collaborating with the
Philadelphia Department of Human Services, the Edison/Fareira National
Honor Society students sponsored a fund raising and canned food collection
drive to make the dinner baskets for needy families in the community.
In the left photo, Mr. Raul Torres, former Principal, and Mr. Ron Kender,
former Assistant Principal of the Edison High School/Fareira Skills Center,
are shown with Honor Society students and staff members at work; he said:
"This program is an outstanding example of teenagers making positive contribution
to their community."
