We extend best wishes to the entire Edison/Fareira family for
a
safe,
joyous, and healthy holiday season. May the new year bring peace
and comfort to all.
Edison/Fareira has been re-accredited by the Middle States
Association's
Commission on Secondary Schools. The school met the commission's
rigorous standards on its educational program, student services and
activities,
facilities, staff and administration, learning media services, finance,
leadership and governance, and assessment of learning. Edison
opted
to follow the Accreditation for Growth model which measures the
school's
progress on student performance.
Late Policy
Students who scan in at 8:00 or later will be considered officially
late
and as a consequence will be provided a detention slip to attend a
detention
on that same day from 2:55 - 3:30 in the school auditorium.
Students
who fail to attend the detention will be immediately and automatically
put on a one-day suspension and will not be readmitted until
accompanied
to school by a parent or guardian. We allow students access to
the
building at 7:21 AM. therefore, students have a total of
thirty-nine
minutes to enter and get to class before being marked late.
The policy is now in effect for all students to have an
active,
up-to-date
ID card. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain a
replacement
ID in the event of loss or damage on the same day. Replacement
cards
are available from Mr. Philibert in the student cafeteria in the
morning
and in Room 148 throughout the remainder of the day.
School Uniforms
The official school uniform is composed of a solid white top with a
khaki
bottom. The top should not include pictures, designs, logos,
words,
or other embellishments. In the event of cold weather, students
may
wear a colored sweater or jacket with a zipper that allows the solid
white
top to be seen. Non-white pullover sweaters covering the white
top
are not permitted. The uniform must be worn throughout the entire
school day. Students may not change into street clothes before leaving
the building. Also, students attending trips are required to wear
uniforms.

guitar.

"peasant,
fugitive" beat.
Students in Mr. Klugman and Mr. Gordon's Junior Achievement

themselves
and their stockholders, ultimately dissolving the corporation at the
end
of the semester. Team USA is selling white shirts for students to
leave in their lockers, while New Age Technology is selling decorative
candles.
