1:00 PM at the Liacouras Center.

The Summer Program for ninth and tenth grade students will be held at
Edison beginning Tuesday, June 24 - Thursday, July 31. Students
will attend Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Eleventh
and twelfth grade students will attend William Penn High School
beginning Tuesday, June 24 - Tuesday, August 5. Classes will be
held Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM. First period class
will be from 8:15 AM - 10:15 AM. Second period class will be from 10:30
AM - 12:30 PM.

Congratulations to the Hispanic Heritage Award Winners who were honored
on April 22 for their accomplishments in the classroom and community.
The awards presented were as follows: Julio Nuñez, Gold
Medallion - Academic Excellence; Virgen Ruiz Gonzalez, Silver Medallion
- Academic Excellence; Joaquin Santiago, Gold Medallion -Leadership
& Community Service; Darryl Irizarry, Silver Medallion -
Journalism; and Priscilla Sicard, Silver Medallion - Health &
Science.
Sea Explorers, Ship #4, attended the 2003 Leadership Recognition
Reception on April 17, 2003, at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel.
Attendees included Sebastian Shaw, Jermaine Veasy, and Jermaine
Williams. Jermaine Veasy received the Outstanding Leadership as a
Member of the Explorers Officers, Venturing Leadership award, and the
Chapel of Four Chaplains – Junior Legion of Honor Award. On April 25,
2003, Jermaine Veasy was the student keynote speaker at the Learning
for Life Recognition and Career Fair Luncheon. The final activity of
the year will be Explore the Challenge Outdoor Weekend May 9 – 11.
Congratulations to Xiomara Andujar, Bk. 201, who was accepted to the
Pennsylvania Governor’s Schools of Excellence.
Congratulations to Huong Tran, Priscilla Sicard, Daphne Ramos, and
Ashley Rodriguez who will participate in the Forensic Science Research
Apprenticeships Mentoring Program from June 24th - August 22nd.
