1. Many people who favor an English and English only law are only trying to mask their racial and cultural bigotry.

I think that people who favor an English and English only law are showing their racial and cultural bigotry. They don't want people to speak languages that they don't understand. They put that as a reason for people not to speak other languages. Maybe they don't want us to speak another language because they are jealous that we can speak a language they don't understand.

2. Schools pamper non-native students with bilingual courses, keeping them forever dependent on teachers and other more educated people.

It's good that the students are taking bilingual courses but only if they learn both languages. They shouldn't be dependent on the teachers because the teachers aren't going to be there all their life. If they learn both languages, they will have a big advantage when they begin to work.
