I believe a strong public school system is essential to the maintenance of a strong civil society. My focus will be to continue and build on the district’s fine reputation for providing quality education to students of all capabilities and for sound fiscal management.
As a general practice lawyer, I have represented colleges as well as nonprofit and for profit corporations. I appreciate the challenges of balancing all the factors that must be considered to deliver a quality service in a fiscally responsible manner.
I have also acted as a mediator in a variety of different settings, working with individuals and entities with divergent viewpoints to bring resolution to thorny issues. I would work in a collaborative way with all members of the Wissahickon community to advance the District’s success in delivering a quality education to each of our students.
The School District is important not only because it sets policy for the Schools but its actions shape our students, affects our property values and sets our taxes.
