I believe the school board should reflect the community it serves and I bring the insight of someone who has worked in Wissahickon classrooms for over 25 years. Now retired, I reflect upon the interactions I have had with hundreds of Wissahickon families and students. I am also a friend and neighbor to many residents in the district. My familiarity with our community, coupled with my inside knowledge of education, allows me to see things through a unique lens.
It should be the board's primary goal to provide an environment that is favorable to each student's success and concerns. My background enables me to bridge the gap between parents, administration and the board. Having raised my own children in the district, I truly know the importance of maintaining excellence in our schools.
The School District is important not only because it sets policy for the Schools but its actions shape our students, affects our property values and sets our taxes.
